Transform your Body like Amber Did

amber

With so many personal training, bootcamp and other CrossFit options in Huntington Beach, Amber chose the Paleo* lifestyle at CrossFit Surf City.

How long have you been at CrossFit Surf City?
I have been doing CrossFit for almost 3 months.
 Why did you start?
I started CrossFit because I was ready for a change. I hit a point in my life where I was frustrated because I had tried everything to lose weight and feel healthy. I wanted to be happier and healthier.
 What are your current goals?
         Lose 10lbs-DONE
Lose 5% of my body fat-2% DONE in first month
Build more muscle in my upper arms-working on it
Become a level one at my one year mark
Master any type of snatch and kipping pull ups
Most importantly- be happy with who I am and LOVE the way I look!
You’ve lost 13lbs to date, how did you do it?
My success comes from the Paleo diet, committing to the work outs, and motivation from me fellow CrossFitters.
What has changed in your life since you started CF?
CrossFit is the lifestyle change that I needed! My eating habits have improved over the last three months. I used to crave pasta everyday but now that I have incorporated the Paleo diet into my life, those cravings have minimized. I pick healthier options and splurge once a day. My clothes fit so much better than I have ever imagined and my attitude about life has changed. I am happier, motivated, and have more energy. This has been the best Christmas gift that I have given to myself.
What is your favorite thing to do at CrossFit, or favorite workout?
I prefer variety in my workouts. I love the days that incorporate a little bit of everything in it. Those are the ones that    kick my butt and feel great after.
* The Paleolithic Diet- It is a nutritional plan based on the presumed ancient diet that consists of wild plants and animals that various human species habitually consumed during the Paleolithic Era. The paleo diet is also popularly referred to as the caveman diet, stone age diet and hunter-gatherer diet.
